DONALD SHOEMAKER / PARTNER
Don is the co-founder of Franklin Partners, LLC and has been an active owner, investor, manager and broker in the United States real estate industry for more than 25 years. He is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of the firm`s strategy, as well as the acquisition of investment assets. He is a recognized expert in value-added projects in office and industrial properties. During his extensive career, he has directed the acquisition and repositioning of dozens of commercial properties. To date, Don has owned over 14 million square feet of industrial, office and retail space.
RAYMOND WARNER / PARTNER
Ray has drawn 20 years of management experience assisting corporate, institutional and private partnerships in enhancing value and utilizing assets more effectively and efficiently in order to achieve overall business objectives. A self-motivated professional with a diverse background in commercial real estate, Ray focuses on asset management, acquisitions and construction. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in the redevelopment of over 5 million square feet of value-added redevelopment in the Midwest.
GARY TAMMINGA / PARTNER
Gary has been with FranklinPartners since 2006. He has been responsible for renovations and construction on over 3 million square feet of industrial and office construction. Gary has extensive knowledge of all building construction, utility and engineering issues. Prior to joining Franklin Partners, Mr. Tamminga was employed at Steelcase Inc. for 23 years as a manager for facilities and energy procurement for 7 million square feet of industrial and office space. Gary graduated from United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1978 majoring in engineering and was a commissioned officer in the USNR.
Bernadette has been with Franklin Partners since 1997. She manages the asset level and property level accounting for the Franklin Partners’ portfolio as well as handles the management of our human resources department. In addition, Bernadette contributes to the due diligence process involved in the acquisitions and dispositions of the Franklin Partners assets. Prior to joining Franklin Partners, she was a staff accountant at CB Commercial, now known as CBRE.
Amanda started with Franklin Partners in 2014. She assists in the direction of the accounting functions and ensures timeliness and accuracy of our financial statements. Amanda graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Accounting. She then obtained her M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2012. Previous to joining Franklin Partners, she was an associate accountant at Jones Lang LaSalle, now known as JLL.
As Director of Marketing, Julie leads point in building the Franklin Partners brand, creating new introductions and enriching current relationships. Julie is a people-oriented professional with a diverse background in marketing, public relations, client relations and event planning. Her experience in the arenas of architectural design and construction management has made her entry into commercial real estate a natural fit. Julie brings awareness to current projects while also participating in leasing initiatives.
Diana LaVaque began her career with Franklin Partners in 2012 and serves as the Portfolio Manager. Diana manages approximately 410,000 square feet of “Class A” office space in the suburbs of Chicago and West Michigan as well as approximately 1,300,000 square feet of Industrial Manufacturing/Warehouse Space in West Michigan.Prior to joining Franklin Partners, Diana was with Burnham Nationwide. She received her education from Harrington College of Design where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on Sustainable Design. She also obtained her Illinois Real Estate Broker license in 2013.
Julie has been with Franklin Partners since July of 2012, bringing over 25 years of Property, Facility and Asset Management experience to her role at “One Mag Mile” (980 N. Michigan Avenue). Julie has a proven track record of effective management with strengths in budgeting, expense reconciliations, due diligence, transitions, dispositions, auditing, forensic accounting, construction management, vendor management, personnel management/development, and tenant relations, for both direct and third party assignments with institutional, academic, financial and privately held ownership entities. Prior to joining Franklin Partners, Julie worked for P & S Limited Partnership for 8 years and Jones Lang LaSalle for 14 years.
Terrah joined Franklin Partners in 2012. She oversees operations and office construction at our “One Mag Mile” location. She has implemented new policies, streamlined processes, transitioned systems and reduced expenditures while successfully transitioning One Mag Mile to Franklin Partners management. Terrah’s attention to detail makes her successful in property transitions, budgeting, contract and vendor management, construction management and tenant relations. Prior to joining Franklin Partners, Terrah worked for Jones Lang LaSalle for five years where she quickly worked her way up the ranks.
